Crosslink Powder Coatings, Incorporated manufactures exterior-grade powder coatings used for aesthetics and corrosion resistance in architectural applications. Several types of coatings, both liquid and powder-applied, are used for these purposes. Crosslink provides only powder coatings, but in a broad range of coating resin chemistries. Besides standard colors, custom color matching services are available (Color Card).

Fluoro Guard™ - Full-Strength (PDF Data Sheet) is our premium-grade coating for the architectural market-place. Fluoro GuardFull-Stregth PVDF containing powder coatings should be the architectural specifier's coatings of choice when high performance, fluorinated powder coatings are required. They are formulated specifically for the architectural industry to meet or exceed the performance requirements of the AAMA 2605-02 Specification. The technology incorporates highly-fluorinated resin (PVDF) in combination with a proprietary thermoset coating resin. Also included in these formulas are highly durable (UV-resistant) ceramic grade pigments that provide superior color stability in long-term service. To add to the performance of these coatings, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors are incorporated. The resultant coatings have tenacious adhesion to pretreated aluminum and provide long-term corrosion resistance. Applied at 2.5 to 4.0 mils, they provide much more abrasion and scratch resistance than liquid applied coatings. All Fluoro Guard™ coatings are smooth, highly flexible and impact resistant. The normal gloss range for these coatings is 25-35%, but other gloss levels are available by special order.

Fluoro Guard™ - Intermediate-Strength (PDF Data Sheet) PVDF containing powder coatings incorporate the same ingredients as the full-stregth version, but a lesser amount of the expensive PVDF resin. These coatings are formulated to meet or exceed the performance requirements of the AAMA 2604-02 Specification. The architectural specifier may find these coatings well suited for high-traffic architectural aluminum components such as doors, railings, and storefronts. They are available in similar gloss ranges as their parent versions and otherwise have the same physical properties. Resistance to acidic atmospheres and extended UV protection and significantly better than with polyester coatings commonly used for similar service.

Architectural Grade Super Durable Polyesters (PDF Data Sheet) are formulated with more weather-resistant polyester resins and are cured with Triglycidyl Isocyanurate (TGIC). These coatings provide a longer service life in exterior environments, compared to the standard-grade polyester resin crosslinked with the same hardener. Also included in these formulas are highly-durable (UV-Resistant) ceramic-grade pigments that provide superior color stability in long-term service. To add to the performance of these coatings, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors are incorporated. These coatings are available in gloss levels of 7-95% and provide the same physical properties (flexibility, impact resistance, scratch protection, and solvent resistance) as other Crosllink coatings.

Architectural Grade Standard Polyesters (PDF Data Sheet) are cured with TGIC, but will not provide the length of service that Super-Durable resins permit. On the other hand, these coatings are much more resistant to the degrading effects of ultraviolet light and corrosive attacks than other exterior-quality resinous coatings, to include polyurethanes and acrylics. These formulas are available in gloss ranges of 2-95% and include highly durable (UV-resistant) ceramic-grade pigments that provide superior color stability in long-term service. To add to the performance of these coatings, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors are incorporated.

Epoxy/Hybrid Primers (PDF Data Sheet) are also available for use when substrate quality is less than desired or enhanced resistance to acidic or sunlit environments is needed. Primers are available in a medium-shade, neutral gray color at high gloss.

Approved Applicators Fluoro Guard™-Full Strength and Intermediate Strength fluorinated coatings are available only to approved applicators.
