Architectural Grade Super Durable Polyesters

View / Download PDF Data Sheet

Architectural Grade Super Durable Polyesters are formulated with more weather-resistant polyester resins and are cured with Triglycidyl Isocyanurate (TGIC). These coatings provide a longer service life in exterior environments, compared to the standard-grade polyester resin crosslinked with the same hardener. Also included in these formulas are highly-durable (UV-Resistant) ceramic-grade pigments that provide superior color stability in long-term service. To add to the performance of these coatings, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors are incorporated. These coatings are available in gloss levels of 7-95% and provide the same physical properties (flexibility, impact resistance, scratch protection, and solvent resistance) as other CrossLink coatings.

Availability:

This product line is available to all powder coating applicators for use on any adequately pretreated substrate. Custom color matching services are available.

Customer Line Surveys:

Crosslink Powder Coatings can tailor these products to your coating line. To do so, our skilled associates must perform a coating line survey, to include monitoring of the oven times and temperatures. Please advise if you would like this service.

Storage Stability:

The maximum storage temperature for this coating is 80°F at 50% Relative Humidity. Under these conditions, a shelf life of 12 months is expected.

Precautions:

All dusts are respiratory irritants. The coating area must be properly ventilated and oven air exhausted to the outside environment. If skin contact occurs, immediately wash with mild, soapy water. If eye contact occurs, flush with water immediately and secure medical attention. Dust clouds of any finely divided organic material can be ignited by electrical sparks or open flames. All equipment must be electrically grounded to preclude buildup of static electricity. Dust collection equipment must be provided for adequate exhaust of dust-laden air.
