Fluoro Guard™ - Intermediate-Strength PVDF containing powder coatings incorporate the same ingredients as the full-stregth version, but a lesser amount of the expensive PVDF resin. These coatings are formulated to meet or exceed the performance requirements of the AAMA 2604-02 Specification. The architectural specifier may find these coatings well suited for high-traffic architectural aluminum components such as doors, railings, and storefronts. They are available in similar gloss ranges as their parent versions and otherwise have the same physical properties. Resistance to acidic atmospheres and extended UV protection and significantly better than with polyester coatings commonly used for similar service.

Precautions:

All dusts are respiratory irritants. The coating area must be properly ventilated and oven air exhausted to the outside environment. If skin contact occurs, immediately wash with mild, soapy water. If eye contact occurs, flush with water immediately and secure medical attention. Dust clouds of any finely divided organic material can be ignited by electrical sparks or open flames. All equipment must be electrically grounded to preclude buildup of static electricity. Dust collection equipment must be provided for adequate exhaust of dust-laden air.
